This year’s New York City pride parade was as lively as ever! On Sunday June 25, 2017, LGBTQ people and allies marched through Manhattan with their glitter, rainbow flags, and messages of love.
In addition to celebrating all types of sexuality, this year’s march highlighted a number of additional socio-political issues. The Democratic Socialists of America marched through the parade chanting “Trumpcare KISS MY ASS! Healthcare for the working class!” Other carried coffins through the streets with the words “Obamacare,” and “Medicare,” written on their sides. Free the nipple advocates proudly let their titties fly. Black lives matter protesters held signs condemning police brutality while chanting “This is what democracy looks like.”
Here are a few photographs of the many people who celebrated pride this weekend in New York City.
